The Clean Power Coalition is comprised of individuals and organizations committed to creating a sustainable and clean energy economy for Metropolitan Chicago.

Calling All Activists!  Join Us at City Hall on February 15!

The Chicago Clean Power Coalition needs your help! After years of efforts to address this public health crisis, we could be just days away from getting Chicago’s old, polluting Fisk and Crawford coal plants cleaned up for good.

You’re receiving this email because you have attended a coalition event or meeting in the past. Now is a great time to get involved again!

This Wednesday morning (February 15) from 8:45 am to 11:00 am, join us for a critical action at City Hall to show the mayor and City Council that the time is now, and to push for a deadline to close the plants. A rally on the second floor will be followed by a powerful visual representation at the City Council meeting of the serious health impacts to Chicagoans from the coal plants.

Specifics:
9:15am:    Meet at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle, 2nd Floor
9:40am:    Press conference
10:00am:  City Council meeting
11:00am:  Leave Council meeting

Below, you’ll find an infographic to update you on the plants, the campaign’s progress, and what you can do (even if you can’t make it tomorrow!)

Please RSVP to Vera at:  Vera.Leopold@gmail.com or on the event Facebook page.  Bring as many friends as you can!
